We are excited to announce the launch of human development workshops at the Prasanthi Center in Carlisle, Massachusetts in January. These workshops are free to all--and are designed to develop leadership capacities for the teachers and students who attend. The U.S Academy for Human Excellence, in collaboration with Hope Collaborative, is pleased to offer a series of trainings entitled: The Mindful Teacher in Human Values Education – A Course in Educating for Human Excellence. The workshops are free and designed for teachers and for those interested in education reform. Register here. The four days of development workshops will help participants:

Improve their skill in teaching universal human values in a mindful way.
Increase their sense of well-being both in the workplace and elsewhere.
Increase the good character and sense of well-being in their students, with the consequent enhancement of their academic diligence and performance.
Participate in an ongoing self-transformation to become an increasingly mindful and inspiring teacher in Human Values Education Course Delivery.

Dr Ron and Suwanti Farmer will conduct the workshops in collaboration with the US Academy for Human Excellence team. Dr. Ron and Suwanti Farmer are two Australian clinical/educational psychologists who specialize in developing training programs on becoming more mindful teachers and parents, proficient in nurturing the growth of good character and human excellence in children. They have been directors of Toogoolawa Schools in Australia for the past 25 years and are directors of the Australian Academy of Human Excellence. One experienced teacher who attended a course led by the Farmers said:
"In a world darkened by distraction and dissension, the mindful teaching program brings light and hope with its message of harmony and unity. Utilizing ground-breaking research in neuroscience, Su and Ron Farmer have put together strategies which help develop and promote an environment of acceptance where all can feel happy, safe and cared for. It is an environment where every individual’s story is listened to, honoured, cherished and valued. Imagine a school established in such a nurturing space!"
The US Academy for Human Excellence team supporting the Farmers is led by:
