Have you tried making money with writing, but it won’t quite pay the bills? Consider learning more about how a career in corporate writing can support your after-hours creative writing efforts while simultaneously strengthening your prose.
 Technical writing can be a beneficial career path for people who have strong writing and editing skills, and the field is growing, providing increased employment opportunities. In this course, we’ll discuss what technical writing entails as a career, the types of documents a technical writer typically prepares under deadline, and the software tools a writer new to the field might need to begin their career.
 The session will conclude with a Q&A. Please bring a laptop to try out short writing exercises designed to emulate the assignments that technical writers typically encounter.
