Protocol Cigars

We are thrilled to bring you the Protocol Cigars from Cubariqueno Cigar Company, one of the hottest boutique brands to hit the market in recent years. The "Blue" was the company's first offering. Produced at Erik Espinosa's "La Zona" factory in Nicaragua, the Protocol Blue features an Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper, giving the cigar richness and depth, with notes of dark chocolate, pepper, and a creamy finish.

Ron Zacapa Rum

Our pairing for the evening features rare rums from Ron Zacapa.
Ron Zacapa Solera 23: Comprised of a blend of rums ranging in age from six to twenty-three years, this Guatemalan rum boasts honeyed butterscotch, spiced oak and dried fruit from its Solera ageing process in American whiskey barrels at high altitude. It’s best enjoyed on a single large lump of pure, clear ice in a heavy rocks glass.
Ron Zacapa Edicion Negra: An exciting new premium rum, aged in casks that previously held Bourbon whiskey, Sherry, Pedro Ximenez wines and a second time in re-charred Bourbon oak casks to accentuate and reinforce the woody spicy and smoky notes in the blend for a more intense and daring flavor.
Ron Zacapa XO: Comprised of a blend of rums between 6 and 25 years old, this rum is matured in barrels that previously were used to Pedro Ximenez Sherry, and has an extra aging stage in French oak barrels that previously held Cognac. The spirit is made in the Guatemalan countryside from first-press sugarcane juice and is a perfectly balanced combination of sweetness, spice, fruit and spirit with flavors of dark cherry, date, prune and clove. It is best served neat, and it scored 96 points in 2015 from the Beverage Testing Institute.
