Pearl Rotary: a community services entity of Rotary International, The Culinary Institute of America, San Antonio, Friday, 21. June 2019

This is the regular meeting of Pearl Rotary: (meets every other week, Friday's, 11:30 - 12:30), usually at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in the Pearl Brewery. Check with the receptionist there, if you have problems locating the meeting place, or call 210-913-7448.
The speaker and program at this week's meeting will be:
Dr. Richard Kissel, Vice President of Education
DoSeum - San Antonio's premier children's museum at 2800 Broadway.
Dr  Kissel is a vertebrate paleontologist and has traveled the world to excavate and study fossil remains of ancient amphibians, dinosaurs, and other reptiles, and the ancient relatives of mammals. He has authored popular articles and children's books on paleontology and the nature of science.
This week's meeting is in a classroom on the 3rd floor of the CIA main building. Please call Terry Mendenhall, 210-913-7448 for directions. 
This is an opportunity to lunch and learn about the community we live and and serve for the benefit of all. Local Rotary Clubs serve their communities and the world mission of Rotary International. Members of Rotary pay dues to support the organzaiton and cover expenses locally. 
Pearl Rotary was a newly chartered organization of Rotary in 2017, and was sponsored by San Antonio Northwest Rotary Club, organized in 1956. Projects of the Northwest Rotary Club include scholarships, support of children and families, disaster relief, international projects, recognitions of military and first responders, and supporting the Rotary Foundation of Rotary, a charity that is 4 star rated by the worldwide Charity Navigator. Pearl Rotary has had a number of service projects since it was chartered, including disaster relief and support of needy children and famllies.
Come find out about the new Pearl Rotary, organized to serve the local community and introduce Rotary International, the largest service organization in the world people in the Pearl area. Stop before the meeting to purchase a box lunch at Pearl Food Hall (Bottling Dept), Bakery Lorraine, the Boiler House, Larder, or Green Restaurant. Its a lunch and learn opportunity. Rotary members pay dues to maintain the organization, receive its benefits, and support Rotary International.
