Project OverviewHolt Brothers Construction is seeking principal trade and specialty contractors to submit bids for the furnishing of labor, material, and equipment for the NC State University Bureau of Mines Renovation Project located at 2500 Yarbrough Drive.
Bureau of Mines is a high-bay industrial building originally constructed in 1945 that has been reconfigured multiple times to create classrooms and offices. The building is currently part of College of Sciences. The Bureau of Mines Renovation consists of a new ADA ramp and stairs, new elevator, new monumental stairs, new third-floor opening as well as a renovation to the entire 2nd and 3rd floors of the building. The 2nd and 3rd-floor renovation will include offices, conference rooms, small meeting rooms, and restrooms. It also includes new mechanical, electrical and BDF rooms on the 1st floor. The renovation also includes new MEP systems as well as new sprinkler systems all over the building. The construction budget is approximately $3.5 million. This project has an anticipated start date of August 2019, and completion in July 2020.

On May 16, 2019, a HUB Outreach & Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 3:00 PM at the NC State University Admin III Building, Room 124, 2701 Sullivan Drive, Raleigh NC.
