A taster session to show how mindfulness can inform everyday situations.

About this Event

Join NEU Cymru and Tim Anfield for a FREE taster workshop on how mindfulness can help us enjoy the pleasant moments in life and navigate challenging times.

Short and engaging mindful activities will bring mindfulness to life for you; and we’ll reflect on how this can be shared to enhance your classrooms.



Outcomes:

  • Participants will try a number of short and accessible mindfulness activities for everyday life situations;
  • We will reflect on ways to share mindfulness with learners and identify some existing resources and training opportunities;
  • Participants will hear about how mindfulness can support the New Curriculum for Wales, particularly the H&WB AoLE and the Whole School Approach to Mental Health.


Online Format:

Once you have registered you will be sent an invitation to join the course via ZOOM. This is a FREE and easy to use online training/chat platform - a bit like Skype. Learning mindfulness this way is just like in a physical group and is very effective.

You’ll need access to a computer or laptop with a microphone/webcam. You can also join via the ZOOM app on your smartphone or tablet, although the computer version is preferable.

Trainer Info

Tim Anfield is the founder of Mindful Families, co-chair of Mindful Schools Wales and an associate trainer for the Mindfulness in Schools Project. Tim has extensive experience of sharing mindfulness in accessible formats in schools, community settings and online.



This course is highly subsidised by the Welsh Government funded Wales Union Learning Fund (WULF) project and all course participants will need to complete a Learner Form. Once you've registered, we will check whether or not you've already completed the form for the current project year and send you a link if we need you to complete the form online.
