Loving Houston 101: How to Start a School Partnership, Chapelwood United Methodist Church, Tuesday, 03. December 2019

How is God at work in YOUR neighborhood?
Every community challenge is present in our local schools – poverty, hunger, homelessness – but there is also so much HOPE as educators are preparing students for a brighter future. A school partnership gives churches an opportunity to join God in what He is doing in the lives of hundreds of students, families, and school staff right in your neighborhood. By coming alongside your local public school, we can all positively impact the trajectory of children’s lives for generations to come.
This workshop will:

Cast vision for church-school partnerships

Explain the need for church partners in our schools

Clarify the separation of church and state

Walk through a step-by-step action plan that will help your church build a long-term relationship with a local public school

If every school in Houston had a committed church partner, what a difference that would make in the lives of our children. It will cost you nothing to learn, and our children have everything to gain. Come see how your church can partner with schools across Greater Houston!
