Lean In Circle, Online, Wednesday, 27. May 2020
About this Event
Join Coach and Circle Facilitator, Alisa Salamon, as she puts the desire for gender equality at the forefront of all Lean In Circle conversations at the Projects. You will leave the Circle feeling energized, empowered, and a little bit better after having had the opportunity to express yourself.
The Circle is open to both women and men and is a supportive and nurturing space where participants can discuss topics attached to professional empowerment, breaking down gender barriers and working together to support each other to combat gender bias in the workplace. Everyone will have a chance to share openly, powerfully, and confidentially.
This month, we will focus on the following topic:
*Why women need mentors*
It is never too early to be a mentor to provide support for someone in your life. It is well known that mentorship is a key driver for success and can make a world of difference to confidence levels and career progression.
In fact, mentoring doesn't always have to involve a more experienced person guiding someone less experienced. Reverse mentoring is becoming increasingly common, where younger employees are paired with senior staff members to help guide company strategy and inform cultural relevance.
In the Circle meeting, we will focus on:
Why mentoring is important
What it's like to be a mentor
How mentoring has helped you
The difference between mentorship and sponsorship
