We’re discussing how and why to develop a diverse network for a more robust, fulfilling and rewarding business life. Besides, many of the perceived differences are trivial. We really are more alike than different.

An accomplished executive, change agent and educator, Shawntee’s progressive organizational development and leadership experience spans corporate banking and retail, higher and primary education, financial services, and retail.  She has led teams focused on designing I&D resources and implementing solutions that build an environment where both potential and current employees feel supported and represented. 

Myra Nawabi

Facilitating the largest Lean In circle in Northern California allows Myra to indulge in two of her passions at once: Help women to increase their self-confidence, and give back to her community. Her dynamism and warmth create a safe, supportive environment for the group, where the members can help each other become more confident and successful. Myra is a Senior Project Engineer, literally working with rocket scientists to develop next-generation space equipment. In a former life, she was an educator and she still lives and breathes the belief that education has the power to change the world.

Dawn has 30 years of combined experience in the non-profit, tech, and health care sectors – ranging from marketing and sales, to community relations and employee engagement - for companies such as Kaiser Permanente, FIRST 5, and Altera. She has sat on several non-profit boards, chaired quite a few fundraisers, and is a Past President of the Junior League of San Jose and Cherry Chase Elementary School PTA.
