Intelligent Lives Screening, Arlington High School Auditorium, Monday, 09. March 2020

Please join the Arlington High School Reach Program and Special Education Department, Arlington Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC), LABBB Educational Collaborative, and the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission for a FREE screening of the documentary "Intelligent Lives" on Monday, March 9, 2020, at the Arlington High School Auditorium.
Every person has the right to pursue an education and career that are fulfilling and to be fully included as members of society.  Too often, though, there are people who are not given the support they need to make these things a reality, particularly young people with intellectual disabilities.  "Intelligent Lives," the latest project from disability rights filmmaker Dan Habib ("Including Samuel" and "Mr. Connolly has ALS"), shows examples of young people who are included in higher education and the job market, and it discusses some of the challenges they **** as they transition to life outside of the public education system.  Help us to break stereotypes about what it means to be "intelligent" and to push for more inclusive education and employment!
