Hero's Welcome- Bravo Company, 2/504 PIR, 82nd Airborne Division , Drury Plaza Hotel Nashville Franklin, Thursday, 26. September 2019

This is an opportunity for the community to “Welcome” the heroes of Bravo Company, 2/504 PIR, 82nd Airborne Division into the the City of Nashville and the kick-off of Operation RESILIENCY.
We’d love to get as many supporters holding flags that we can.
Operation RESILIENCY focuses on the mental health and wellbeing of our Veterans in order to combat Veteran ******* and improve the overall quality of the life for our Veterans and their families through Resiliency Summits and Retreats. The third Resiliency Retreat will be held in Nashville, TN Sept. 26-29, 2019 with Bravo Company, 2/504 PIR, 82nd Airborne Division. In June 2005, Bravo Company was in a major firefight near he Pakistan border which led to multiple wounded and one KIA. Heavy fighting continued throughout the deployment and unfortunately more lives were lost. In October of 2005, a small element of Bravo Company was attacked by a force nearly five times its size. Towards the end of the fighting, one of them was shot. Despite multiple Paratroopers from Bravo Company working to save his life on both the drive down the mountain and on the Medevac flight, he succumbed to his wounds. The following month, another life was lost when they were hit with an IED. On one late December night, hundreds of enemy fighters attacked FOB Tillman. Greatly outnumbered, Bravo Company fought through the night and into the next afternoon in order to push the enemy back into Pakistan. Many were wounded. After the deployment, many brothers of Bravo Company have been lost; either killed in action as they continued their career in the military or by their own hands. Bravo Company, from the 2005-2006 deployment has lost nearly 10% of their entire company to being mortally wounded in action, or *******.
Please join us in helping welcome these brave men home as they reunite together for the first time since returning from that deadly deployment. The volunteers at this hero welcome will line the halls and cheer them on with smiles and American Flags as the men walk into the ballroom to their welcome dinner. The welcome dinner itself will be a private event for the members of the unit.
