Grape Propagation Workshop, USU Extension - Davis County Office, Wednesday, 20. March 2019

Propagating grapes from cuttings is a skill that can allow you to grow unique and tasty grape varieties in your vineyard or garden. Join USU expert Mike Pace at the USU Botanical Center in Kaysville (80 East 725 South Room 133) on March 20th from 6-8 pm. Mike will teach you all of the skills and techniques required to successfully propagate grapes.  Class participants will then will then be given a hands on opportunity to propagate grapes for their own gardens. Choose from several varieties that are growing at the USU Botanical Center Home Demonstration Vineyard that are well suited for Utah climates and include table, juice, and wine grapes.  Participants will propagate 8-10 different grape plants and will be given the knowledge and tools to successfully grow the cuttings for transplant into the garden.  Class materials for each participant include grape cuttings, containers, soil, and a heat mat that can be taken home to promote good root growth of cuttings. 
**Tickets must be purchased prior to the event, there will be no ticket sales at the door**
