Girl Scout Junior Robotics Badges , Adventure Code Academy, Saturday, 12. January 2019

In our Girl Scout Junior Robotics workshops, Juniors will earn Robotic badges by focusing on the concepts of robotics, computer programming and the languages that coders use. Juniors will be introduced to algorithmic thinking and will partake in hands-on games and crafts to solidify these concepts and their use of them in real-life applications. Juniors will also be exposed to career pathways connected to programming and robotics.
The 3 Junior Robotic badges are
Junior Badge 1: Programming Robots  (3-hour workshop / Price: $50 per Girl)
Robots are simple machines programmed to run automatically. In this 3.00 hr team based workshop, Juniors will learn how to create a program that can be run by a Robot.
Junior Badge 2: Designing Robots  (3-hour workshop / Price : $50 per Girl)
Robots are designed to help people and animals. In many cases the Robot designs are inspired by humans or animals. In this 3.00 hr team based workshop, Brownies will team up to identify an everyday problem that is best suited for a Robot and sketch out a solution on paper drawing inspiration from humans or animals. They will then build a prototype with LEGO’s and create step by step instruction for the Robot. They will test the instructions on the prototype and work on improving the prototype.
Junior Badge 3: Showcasing Robots  (3-hour workshop / Price : $50 per Girl)
Engineers in real world share their work to teach others and get feedback. In this 2.50 hr team based workshop, Junior will team up with her Badge 2 team mate to create a multi-media presentation. We will work with the Juniors to help share their presentations at various places places and our clubs. They will also learn about Robotics teams and competitions from our Clubs
