This two day course is an a la carte module within a six module Comprehensive Dental Implant Continuum. Led by Dr. Bassam Kinaia, this module will focus on Full Mouth Reconstruction & Peri-Implantitis

8:30am - 9:50am - Biomechanical considerations in full mouth/arch prothesis (Part 1): Occlusion, Restorative Space, Material Selection
9:50am - 10:40am - Biomechanical considerations in full mouth/arch prothesis (Part 2): Cantilever vs. tilted implant, Number of implants for the mandible and the maxilla, AP-Spread, All on 4, All on 5 or All on 6 
10:40am - 12:30pm - Traditional treatment planning for endentulous patients: Digital Treatment planning and work flow
12:30pm - 1:30pm - Lunch1:30pm - 2:40pm - Case presentations for fixed implant prosthesis
2:40pm - 4:30pm - Case presentations for removable/hybrid implant prosthesis
4:30pm - 5:00pm - Laboratory communication for fixed and removable prosthesis

Day 2:

9:00am - 9:50am - Peri-Implant diseases: Classifications and prognosis
9:50am - 10:40am - Peri-Implant mucositis: Disease and management 
10:40am 12:30pm - Peri-implantitis: Disease categories and treatment options
12:30pm - 1:30pm - Lunch Break
1:30pm - 2:40pm - Peri-implantitis: defect assessment and peri-implant guided bone regeneration

Speaker Bios: Dr. Bassam M. Kinaia D.D.S., M.S., D.I.C.O.I.
Dr. Kinaia is the Director of the Graduate Periodontics Specialty Program at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. He also served as the Program Director at the Boston Institute for Dental Research and Education in Dubai.  He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. He received his D.D.S. and Certificate and M.S. in Periodontics and Dental Implants from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and St. John Health. He is an OKU inductee and a recipient of the prestigious AAP award for outstanding teaching and mentoring in Periodontics.
He has numerous journal publications, chapter books and research in the fields of immediate implant placement, soft tissue augmentation and bone grafting around dental implants and treatment of gummy smile using esthetic crown lengthening and surgical lip repositioning. He serves on the Peer Review Panel of the Journal of Periodontology and Clinical Advances in Periodontics as well as an ad hoc editor for the Journal of Dentistry and Oral Biology. His areas of interest include dental implants, esthetic crown lengthening and advanced soft tissue and bone grafting. He lectures nationally and internationally on the latest trends in periodontics and dental implants. He is a clinician with 28 years of experience and maintains a private practice limited to Periodontics and Dental Implants in Sterling Heights, Michigan. He has been voted a Top Dentist by peer dentists in Hour Detroit Magazine.  Dr. Mo Koutrach D.D.S., F.A.C.P Dr. Koutrach received his DDS degree from University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. He completed his specialty certificate in Prosthodontics at the Indiana University School of Dentistry and his Maxillofacial Prosthodontics certificate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He also attended one year of fellowship in the graduate Periodontics program at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.  Dr. Koutrach has been involved in academic teaching throughout his career and currently services as a Clinical Associate Professor at University of Texas Health Center (UTH) School of Dentistry. He lectures nationally and internationally in the field of Prosthodontics and dental implantology. Dr. Koutrach has written numerous publications on dental implants and Prosthodontics.
