Food Pantry Stocking at Broad Street Food Pantry, Broad Street Food Pantry (in Broad Street Presbyterian Church), Tuesday, 22. January 2019

Who this event is for:
Ages 6-12. ***** caregivers are required to accompany child participants.
What we’ll be doing:
Join Seeds of Caring as we teach our kids about food insecurity and take action in our community. Families are asked to collect food donations ahead of time and bring them to Broad Street Food Pantry on Tuesday, January 22. During the event, we will be restocking the shelves of the food pantry. This is a physically active event, so families should come prepared for pushing shopping carts of food and carrying/lifting cans of food onto shelves.
Specific Instructions:
We ask that each family collect food donations ahead of the event, and bring them that day. You can collect from your own pantry or purchase at the store, but if possible, we highly recommend involving your child(ren) in their own neighborhood food drive. We will provide a flyer to assist with this.
How to start at home:
Check out this resource to get the conversation started at home about the issue of food insecurity across our state and country:
Why you'll be asked to make a donation:
On the next page you'll be invited to make a tax-deductible donation to Seeds of Caring. Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's because we have the support of families like yours. Please consider making a generous gift to help us continue to empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds.
Note about full events:
