FDRS 2020: Focus on Fat Disorders, InterContinental Cleveland, Friday, 17. April 2020

FDRS 2020: Focus on Fat Disorders is April 17-19, 2020 at the InterContinental Cleveland (at the Cleveland Clinic).  Keynote speaker is world renowned Fat Disorder expert, Karen L. Herbst, MD, PhD. Topics to include surgical and non-surgical treatment options in managing lipedema, Dercum's disease, and Madelung's disease.

FDRS room block rate is $129 per night.  Click here to book your room.  There are a limited number handicap accessible rooms in the FDRS room block.  
The FDRS room block is valid for Tuesday, April 14, 2020 through Monday, April 20, 2020.  Should you wish to come early or stay late, rooms at this rate are subject to availability.     
The special pricing of the room block is valid through March 15, 2020 or when the room block sells out, whichever comes first. Book your hotel room today before the room block is sold out!  (Hint: the room block WILL sell out early this year).  
When you book within the room block, you help FDRS to keep conference costs as low as possible. We appreciate all conference attendees, speakers, and vendors booking within the FDRS room block.

Friday          4:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Saturday      7:00 am – 6:15 pm  
Sunday        7:00 am – 12:45 pm

Will meals be provided?
Registration includes a light reception on Friday evening, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday and lunch on Saturday.   Details regarding the meals will be posted closer to the conference.  In order to keep costs down, beverages will include water, iced tea, hot tea, and coffee. There are two restaurants located in the hotel and Starbucks a block from the hotel.  
What's nearby?
InterContinental Cleveland is located on the Cleveland Clinic campus.  Rite Aid is a 7 minute walk from the hotel. The Cleveland Public Library is .5 miles from the hotel and the Rock & Roll  Hall of Fame is less than 6 miles from the hotel.  Check out the hotel's website for more suggestions on what to do.   
Can I bring a friend/spouse/family member?
Absolutely!  This meeting is open to all who are interested in lipedema, Dercum's disease, and Madelung's disease.  Registration fees apply to all guests.  
What are my transportation/parking options getting to the event?
CLE airport is 15 miles away.

Checks must be received by February 15, 2020 in order to receive the early bird rate. 
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No need to bring a printed ticket.  We will have your registration information.  However, we do suggest you print a copy for your records.  
What is the refund policy?
Refunds prior to March 15, 2020 are accepted, less a $25 administration fee.  If you are unable to attend, please consider donating your ticket back to FDRS.  We have a waiting list for those who are unable to attend due to financial reasons.  Please e-mail info@ donate your ticket.    Due to hotel commitments, no refunds after March 15, 2020.  
May I record the meeting?
The conference will be professionally videotaped and be available at no charge for conference attendees.  As such, no video or audio taping (including but not limited to phones, video cameras, or any other recording devices) is permitted during the conference. 
Live Stream
Can't attend in person?  FDRS will live stream the conference for FREE.  Login details will be published the week of the conference.
What if the registration fee is out of my budget?
FDRS does not want financial hardship to keep anyone from attending our annual conference. As such, we are pleased to announce a limited number of financial hardship scholarships to offset registration fees for the 2020 FDRS conference in Cleveland, OH.
