Fair Sentencing of Youth: Continuing the Conversation on Criminal Justice Reform, The Alley, Wednesday, 26. June 2019

As a company committed to human and civil rights, Verizon is honored to work with the Campaign for the Fair Sentencing of Youth (CFSY) to help end the practice of sentencing children to extreme prison terms and in particular life without the possibility of parole.
Please join us for a reception to hear more about the CFSY’s important mission and how it is developing partnerships with a range of stakeholders to support the prosperity of individuals returning home after decades in prison, aid their families, and strengthen their communities. In addition to members of the CFSY staff, Washingtonians who were imprisoned as children and have been released as a result of reforms the CFSY helped enact will also be in attendance and will share their experience and perspective on ways they are contributing to their communities after a long incarceration.
Featuring:

Jody Kent Lavy, Executive Director, CFSY
Abd'Allah Lateef, Sentenced to life without parole as a child, Pennsylvania ICAN Coordinator, CFSY
