DIY Macrame, Plants, and Wine with The Sill & Jewel Tucker , The Sill WeHo Store, Tuesday, 08. October 2019

Join The Sill and Jewel Tucker for a special Macrame Workshop on Tuesday, October 8th at The Sill's West Hollywood store in Los Angeles. Create your own macrame plant hanger to bring home and a 4˝ (diameter) tropical plant.

While you may believe macrame to be a relic from the 1970s, it actually dates back to the 13th century when Arab artisans wove elaborate fringes for their camels and horses to help keep the desert flies away. Come learn this ancient art form with us! We will go over 3 basic macrame knots–the gathering knot, the spiral stitch, and square knot–as well as the techniques to create a stylish and function plant hanger out of 100% cotton string. You'll take your creation home with you, and a 4" terra cotta pot along with your choice of a 4" tropical plant to pot inside, to begin your macrame obsession. Bring your friends, meet new people, learn a new skill, drink some wine!

This class is good for all levels, no prior experience necessary. Space is extremely limited so we recommend buying your ticket* ASAP!
*All tickets are final sale.
