Capitalism and our Food System: A Community Dialogue, CORE/El Centro, Sunday, 27. January 2019

In his latest book, A Foodies Guide to Capitalism, Eric Holt-Giménez takes on the social, environmental and economic crises of the capitalist mode of food production.  He explains the political economics of why—even as local, organic and gourmet food has spread around the world—billions go hungry in the midst of abundance.
Join author Eric Holt-Giménez for a dialogue and discussion around the political economics of our food system and how, as activists and consumers, we must understand these economics in order to shift power here in Milwaukee and around the world.  Bring your thoughts, questions and ideas to this community dialogue.
FREE and Open to the Public!
Refreshments provided by Outpost Natural Foods and CORE El Centro's Rooftop Garden. Books will be available for purchase at the event.
