Black Girls Code and Microsoft presents: Black Girls CODE in Space

This free, 2-hour introductory coding workshop is an engaging interactive way for girls ages 10-17 to understand more about how the opportunities in computer science and coding open up for them. By the end of the workshop, students will have achieved the following:

basic block coding concepts

Use their imagination to create and customize their own unique Solar System

They will have an opportunity to watch a Livestream with Joan Higginbotham, an African American engineer and former NASA astronaut who is the third African American woman to go into space.

The parent, legal guardian, or authorized ***** caregiver of every participant under 17 years of age must sign a Participation Agreement upon arrival and remain in Microsoft Store for the duration of the event.
Don’t miss this opportunity to meet new role models, get inspired by the pros, and get a hands-on introduction to the world of coding.    

IMPORTANT! Once you register for this event please complete the forms below:

3) Complete, bring, and print out the Photograph & Video Release Form
4)  Parents MUST PRINT, SIGN, AND BRING THE RELEASE FORM to the Microsoft Store on the day of the event.
