A Dose of Oxy[tocin], Rooted Heart Yoga, Saturday, 27. April 2019

A Dose of Oxy[tocin] brings together people from different walks of life to explore connection together. Whether you’re in a relationship(s) or in-between them, this workshop will help you build essential skills for consent, connection and communication with those you care about most.
Human beings need to connect to one another. Even in loving relationships, miscommunication can happen, leading to disconnect. When it does, we often feel lonely, isolated, stressed and/or unhappy with our lives. The stronger our communication, boundary, and listening skills are, the stronger our connections to one another can grow.
The good news is that this short workshop will help you learn (or reinforce) the skills you need! Not only that, but at the end of the workshop, you get to connect with the other folks at the workshop (if desired) and practice the skills we talked about. Together, we will build a culture of consent and enjoy a little oxy[tocin], without the pressures of dating or a romantic relationship. We'll do this by using our communication skills to explore PG rated touch (like hand massages and the kind of cuddling you do with your dog).
At A Dose of Oxy[tocin] you can:
• Learn useful skills about consent - how to ask for what you want and how to receive the answer
• Experience a community of consent-savvy and interesting individuals
• Experience what it's like to get an oxytocin high (oxytocin is a bonding hormone that our bodies naturally produce)
• Express yourself
• Practice making your own authentic choices and build confidence around those choices
• Do nothing and observe if you want! Just being there is participation.
